The Most Important Secret to Healthy Aging
It is not how old you are but how you are old.
As a Neuroscientist and Epidemiologist I spent over a decade researching the underlying causes of Alzheimer’s disease. But after working with thousands of clients, I now realize that the one single and most important thing you need to prevent aging and cognitive decline isn’t about your habits, your education or your exposures. It is your willingness to release your negative beliefs about aging.
When I talk to the elderly about how Alzheimer’s is reversible, and how there are so many things you can do to keep your brain young, I regularly hear, “Oh…I’m too old for that”. Do you notice the problem with this belief? I do. It indicates to me that the person is saying that they are no longer worth the effort. And that distresses me terribly because I know that this is precisely how they will become old, by giving up.
But what happens if you don’t believe you have to get old?
Developing the Ability to Remember Names
I used to struggle to remember names. I’d have to ask people to repeat their names often, and would often give up to avoid the shame of not remembering. After releasing subconscious barriers that got in the way of my ability to remember names, I led a Meetup hike. There were 10 new people present. After introducing ourselves, I went around the circle (more…)
3 Types of People That Leave Your Heart Broken
I had my heart broken so many times that after each breakup, I would get guarded and fearful around intimacy. In my healing journey, in addition to releasing the pain and anguish, I would get determined to figure out why. I needed to know what I did to contribute to the demise of this relationship, and if there was something about this person I attracted into my life, so I would know what to avoid in the future.
I needed to identify the types of people that would leave me heart broken.
My pattern was that I met men who were initially interesting and charming, but once I started showing interest, they would change or withdraw. I have since learned that as an empath, I am particularly susceptible to attracting these types of people.
What types of people should you avoid?

Overcome Communication Challenges
My client *Sara had a wonderful relationship with her partner. She considered him her best friend. But he was in school and she had made incredible sacrifices financially and in terms of the amount of time they had together for the relationship, and she didn’t see how she could get her needs met. How to Feel Beautiful From the Inside Out
I had a client who was by most standards so beautiful that she probably could have been a professional model if she had wanted to. And yet, she was constantly criticizing her looks! She couldn’t be persuaded by other people’s positive feedback. All she could see were the things that she didn’t like. And her criticisms were things that I would have never noticed if she hadn’t pointed them out, nor did I agreed that they made her unattractive!
After clearing her addictive negative thoughts belief systems and emotions about her looks, (more…)
17 Questions To Determine If You Truly Love Yourself
I thought I loved myself
After decades of self-loathing, the constant self-criticism had stopped. Every once in awhile, I’d hear a voice in my head telling me, “You are beautiful”.
Then one day, my boyfriend told me he no longer loved me. I had tolerated his lack of initiative far longer than I should have, and I had given more to the relationship than I was receiving.
When you don’t love yourself enough
This break up shook me to the core. I had a to clear a lot of pain. Suddenly, those old feelings of not being lovable came back in full force.
In releasing my pain, I began to ask myself these questions:

How to Make Habit Change Easy
Did you set New Year’s Resolutions this year?
(See my suggested articles below if you need ideas)!
If yes, are some of these goals ones you have been struggling with for a long time?
If so, are you sure you are taking the best approach?
You may have noticed that some habits are easier to change than others. Why? Because lurking below the surface of your conscious mind, is your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind contains your feelings and thoughts from your past that could leave you either feeling empowered or helpless in the face of a new goal.

Releasing Addictions with the Body Code
I had a client that was addicted to pot, drank too much alcohol and played too much chess.
He would smoke 10-15 bowls (Pipes) per day, drink 2-4 alcoholic drinks per day, and had to play chess every day for 1-1.5 hrs.
He had tried to quit smoking pot before, and had successfully before, but it made him angry and resentful that he had to give up something he felt he needed. So to distract himself from his addiction to pot, he played chess 3-5 hrs a day! After a couple of years of this, he went back to smoking again.
So he asked me to release his addiction to pot, and we worked on all the triggers that made him want to smoke. Most of those triggers were around his difficulties getting along with people.
