How Releasing Subconscious Barriers Changes the Brain

key to brain health

As a Holistic Brain Health Practitioner, I release subconscious barriers that interfere with our health, harmony and happiness. So how does releasing subconscious barriers change the brain?

While I can’t provide decisive evidence about how it changes the brain, I can conjecture my favorite theory based on current findings in neuroscience.

We know, thanks to the discoveries of neuroplasticity, that our brains are constantly evolving, and that habit changes rewire the brain.

What is neuroplasticity?

The most fundamental concept of neuroplasticity is that neurons that fire together, wire together.  So with new habits you form new neuronal pathways, and you can strengthen those pathways by solidifying those habits.

So why don’t I focus on strengthening neural pathways?

Because I know that once you know what you have to do (and most of you do know), you could do it easily if you didn’t have anything getting in your way.

We all know that we should eat healthily and exercise, so why don’t we all do it?   Because old habits can be hard to break.

Why? Because our neuropathways for our excuses and pessimistic thinking get in the way of our belief that we can change. Our excuses protect us from stretching ourselves. Its an old residual mechanism designed to keep us safe, but it also inhibits us from growth.

Rick Hanson says that our brains are wired for negativity. Two-thirds of the neurons in the amygdala are designed to quickly respond to negative thoughts.   Many of those negative thoughts become quickly embedded in the subconscious and impact our behavior, our ability to heal, and how we feel about our life.

What releasing subconscious barriers can do.

Clearing the negative subconscious thought patterns makes it easier for us to act in alignment with our conscious intentions.

Creating new habits is easy when you don’t have any barriers in place. Therefore I work to release the subconscious thoughts, emotions, sabotage and addictive thought patterns that eliminate the barriers. When we get our subconscious out of the way, change becomes easy!

If you feel stuck and like you are getting in your own way, then releasing subconscious barriers will help! Work with a Body Code or other practitioner that addresses your subconscious blocks to progress.
